December 8th 2022, it has been a year since a very special man to me and so many others passed away. I only learned about it in October this year and the pain has been to deep to even be able to speak let alone write my most intimate thoughts.
I was in disbelief that I wasn’t told about it from friends who introduced me and worked with Dave in Ontario since 1995. It was actually Dave that came in dreams that made me reach out to the couple and then the next week I learned of his passing. There is a lot of hope and footsteps Dave has left at the Turtle Lodge youtube channel. I was so touched by Dave that I just began recording in a journal the Ceremonies and teachings which I put in my first book, and began this blog dedicated to him. Now I am pulling/ weaving pieces together as a memior.
I need to pause and come back, I just really wanted to get out that of course Dave died on the 8th!! Not only was this blog born after bringing him to Vancouver BC from his home in Manitoba on the screening of the film The 8th Fire, but we planned it for 8.8.08, you can’t make this up!!
